The Lincoln Park Zoo has a festival of lights this time of year. Of course, it's free and Santa was waiting for us in the Lion House!!! We thought that Ollie would be the one to freak out, nope, not this time. Lily waited patiently but when the time came to sit on Jolly Ole's lap, Lily decided it wasn't worth the wait. She had the death grip on me and instead of scarring her for life, we just took the picture and ran.
Worth the wait?

Funerals bring us together....
Tuesday, November 4, 2008Grandpa Neuenschwander (my grandpa, not Lily's...thank goodness) passed away almost two weeks ago. As a result, we got to go to Utah to see family and friends and pay our last respects with much love to Grandpa George. Here are a few pictures from the week in Utah.
Lily and Ollie got a little bored at the viewing of Grandpa George so they played on the ramp outside the room and had a great time. Lily made Ollie be the horse.
Lily loves to go "swimming" in Grandma Alyson's hot tub.
Taylor came down from Logan to see Lily, it had been six months since he last saw her!
Lily and Ollie took a bath together at Grandma Gayle's and did the "side by side" swim.
On Halloween we visited Grandma Madge in Provo. She was so happy to see how Lily has grown.
Lily was the cutest bear-pirate there has ever been.

Bear-Pirate
I bought Lily a bear costume thinking it would match Scott's requirements perfectly. While it was cute...it apparently was too boring so Scott decided to buy a pirate costume and make Lily a bear-pirate. As usual, Scott's decision to go the extra mile paid off and Lily looked adorable. She loved to keep the costume on, especially the belly part! Since we were in Utah for my grandpa Neuenschwander's funeral, we went trick-or-treating in our old neighborhood. Lily was definitely the cutest trick-or-treater out there. Her cousins, dad and uncle Coby were all a pretty close second though.

The Visit from "Nani" and Cam
Friday, September 19, 2008I got it! Here are the pictures from when Cam and Natalie came to visit us! We spent one afternoon at the beach. We were just walking along not planning to go down to the water but Lily talked us into it and we spent a long time there! Lily loved it. She still asks for Cam and Natalie and it's so cute when she says, "Cam!" out of the blue.
Something cute not related to Cam and Natalie: Lately she gets really happy/giddy before I put her in her crib. Last night she was laughing and when I closed the door she said, "bye!"

Dinner with Ollie
Ollie and Lily had a sleepover! They had a lot of fun together and these are pictures of them eating their "dinner" of pumpkin pancakes. They've been sick and haven't really played for close to two weeks now. Lily asks for Ollie everyday.

You two make beautiful babies....
Friday, September 5, 2008
When we visited Danielle in California she and Scott went to the bagel store with Lily. Apparently, the guy working there thought they were married and told them, looking at Lily, "You two make beautiful babies." Weird. Gross. And if they were married, it would be true! But, somehow Lily is still cute. Danielle came to visit us for the weekend and we loved having her here. Lily was so excited and was saying "Dani!" days before Danielle got here. This post is long with lots of pictures and explanations so sit down and get ready to see one "beautiful baby!"
The first morning Danielle was here we took her to our second home on Saturdays: THE BONGO ROOM....
It's our favorite brunch place, thanks to Coby and Kristal, and if you've visited or will visit....you WILL experience brunch at the Bongo Room. The night before, Lily had figured out that when she says "shush" she can pick her nose too. She was laughing hysterically the night before so she decided to do it again...
To walk off the yummy breakfast, we went shopping around Wicker Park/Bucktown. We found a children's store. Lily of course loved running around. Scott turned his back on her for a short second and when he turned back she had her shoes off and was trying on these...
I can't wait to get some!
That night we ate some yummy food at AVEC and then dessert at HOT CHOCOLATE. It was all delicious and Lily handled it all very nicely.
Danielle bought Lily a Che shirt so we dressed her in it and took our little revolutionary to the zoo. It was extremely crowded but we were able to get a glimpse at the gorilla's (our favorite) and the lions before Lily was in desperate need of a nap.
The next day we went to the Bongo Room again (because we wanted to and because it was open!) and then off to the fountain and bean. She was ORNERY the whole walk down but she eased up when she got in her swimsuit and played in the fountain. Lily LOVED the fountain. Scott said it was the most fun she's had there. She loves to stick her hands in your mouth and didn't mind getting splashed in the water at all. And of course she had to visit and climb all over her favorite sculpture.
I know, that was a TON of pictures but there were more and I tried to choose the cutest!!! Thanks for visiting us Danielle! We love you.
I'll let you all know when I get the video of her "touille" dance posted. I also have some cute pics of her and Ollie eating at her little table Scott bought her from Ikea. I'll let you all know, but for now, enjoy!!!
